On Saturday, September 23, 15 people gathered at Monumental United Methodist to assemble flood buckets to be used in clean-up efforts in areas affected by recent hurricanes. Thanks to the generous donations by church and community members, 50 flood buckets will be sent to United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). With parts of Texas and Louisiana affected by flooding due to Hurricane Harvey, and more areas soon to be impacted by Hurricane Irma, Monumental is collecting donations for Flood Buckets. These Buckets will be used to help clean up efforts in hurricane affected areas. Donate any of the items from the donation list below or a completed Flood Bucket. After the funeral, when the cards and flowers have stopped coming, most people return to their normal lives. But your grief continues and you feel alone. Monumental is responding to this need by starting a Grief Support Group to offer help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend in a small group setting. The group will led by Kay Dezern (Tidewater Pastoral Cousneling) and Rev. Megan Saucier (pastor, Monumental UMC). The group will meet w
